Why do I look different? I remember asking my Mum this when I was little. Maybe you can’t tell but I am only 4”11 tall and have a web neck, short arms and stature. This is a rare genetic disorder called Turner Syndrome. And only 1 in every two thousand girls are born with it. Pretty amazing isn’t it. This is being really vulnerable but I want to share this with you.
And that I never thought I would ever wear a dress like this. Because growing up I was always so self conscious of what I wore. Therefore self conscious of my body. I preferred to just ‘Blend in’. And self confidence for me was zero. Because you see I didn’t love myself at all. I had this vision of what my body should look like. Which is present in the society we live in today. Because I wanted to feel and look like all the other girls, confident and strong (or so I thought). And I came to realize that this was all the limiting beliefs in my mind. These beliefs I had to work through step by step to learn to love my body.
With so many medical issues I’ve faced my whole life. There is one very important thing I have learned. And that is don’t be so hard on your body. Because your body is doing something magical. It is allowing you to live this beautiful life breathing every breath. To find out your self love language take my free quiz to find out.
