Step outside your comfort zone. Ah our comfort zone. It is such a safe and warm place isn’t it. A place where you don’t have to worry about fear or doubt. I certainly know that place do you? Stepping outside of my comfort zone was terrifying to me. I didn’t like the uncomfortable and anxious feel doing something that didn’t make me feel relaxed. Well of course that didn’t get me anywhere in life. Which is why I wanted to share some of the ways I used to help myself step outside my comfort zone.

IT’S OK TO PROTECT YOURSELF. BUT ARE YOU MOVING FORWARD.

And there is nothing wrong with protecting yourself from fear and doubt, and all the feelings we feel. After all it’s our right to protect ourselves. But my friend the truth is your comfort zone is a place where nothing grows. You won ‘t grow and evolve into the person you want to be. Because being in your comfort zone your brain is also comfortable and doesn’t want anything to change. When you step outside your comfort zone, you create just enough stress to increase your focus, creativity and drive. You can respond better when unforeseen stress occurs.

OK ready ? Here are 5 ways to step outside your comfort zone.

THE 5 WAYS TO STEP OUTSIDE YOUR COMFORT ZONE.

1- Take the first step. This could be something small to start with. Maybe in your daily routine doing something you know you should but your to afraid to. And say out load to yourself that you are ready to take some chances. Journaling is a great way to see in front of you what your intentions are. This will help you in starting your journaling practice. Journaling was a game changer for me. 2- Don’t always choose the safe choice. When you have to make decisions. Do what you know will push you past what you are used to doing and will challenge you mentally and physically. The more you decide on the more challenging things. The more you will find yourself wanting to go further past where you are comfortable.

3- Make sure you find yourself in new environments. One of the best ways to step outside your comfort zone is to put yourself in new exciting environments that you wouldn’t normally. Maybe you’ve been to afraid or think you don’t fit in. When you do this is will change the whole course of your success.

4- Make snap decisions. Take chances like when friends maybe ask you out go and have fun. Or joining something you’ve always wanted too but been to shy. This will guide you even further to stepping outside your normal and experience different things.

5- Say yes more often. The magic word. When your asked to help out with a special function. And maybe that date you were asked out on. May be it will be a great night with great company.

WHAT IS YOUR COMFORT ZONE?

When in your comfort zone you will feel relaxed when doing things you normally do. But when you are out of your comfort zone, you are doing something that raises your anxiety level. You are intentionally doing something you don’t feel comfortable doing at first.
