Setting goals for personal growth. So you agree when i say this can be a scary process? And it goes even deeper when you have set some pretty big goals. But also when you have no idea on what goals you need to set for yourself.
I have set so many goals over the years, and to be honest haven’t reached many of them at all. And then I was finding I was feeling anxious and burnt out because I wasn’t being intentional with the goals I was setting and passionate about accomplishing.
Now it’s can be so easy to be consumed by other people’s opinion of success and happiness is. But the important thing to remember is it has to be about YOU. What is it that will make you happy, and what is it that will make you feel successful.
When I set goals now I make sure it’s for me, and not anyone else. Then make an action plan to achieve them. And setting goals can bring out the shyness in you. I mean it’s a big deal right? Sometimes we get caught up in our daily routines when we aren’t working towards something bigger. Which is why it’s important to set goals for ourselves. Because it all comes down to challenging ourselves to make our life the way we have always envisioned it.
And it’s possible to get distracted by outside noise. Which prevents us from living a purposeful and meaningful life. So think about what it is you want to make time for. And you could even make a list of things you want to accomplish. Then it’s time to prioritize them.
But mindful of giving yourself, but not to much so you don’t get distracted and go off course. It’s important to constantly remind yourself of what your working towards. And it’s even more important to make sure your daily habits align with what you are working towards. Because setting goals is also an important part of your self love journey.
