How to make the most of your alone time. A nice warm bath always does the trick for me. It is so relaxing.

How to make the most of your alone time. Well my hand is up, my alone time is so super important to me. Because it’s the moment when I decompress and take some deep breaths. Well catch my breath really, can you relate?

But sometimes I find myself craving more. Not that I’m complaining. But it does feel like you have to really work at achieving alone time. That’s life though isn’t it, always changing and evolving. And we can get a little dizzy if you know what I mean. You know what the worst thing is. We sometimes waste our alone time, and let it slip by. I know I have done this., Have you? HELPFUL WAYS TO EMBRACE YOUR ALONE TIME.

I love the feeling after I’ve had some alone time. The feeling of being energized. It is so vital that we make the most of it and soak in all the benefits. Because let’s face it, it can be a very long while in between alone times. With work, family and just life and responsibilities in general.

So how do we make the most of this important time? Today I’m sharing some helpful tips to make the most of your ‘alone time’.

WAYS TO CLASP YOUR ALONE TIME.

1- Unplug from social media. If we are scrolling social media we can start to feel like we are missing out. And that we should be doing something. We might even begin to feel jealous. So disconnect from social media and connect with yourself. Make that nice hot cuppa and sit outside taking in nice slow breaths. Or journal for a bit putting thoughts down on paper. I mean there is nothing wrong with some quiet alone time right?

2- Make your self care practice more personal. Don’t get caught up in what everybody else is doing for self care. Do what means the most to you and what feels the best for you. You don’t have to do or be the same as everyone else. Because keep in mind that self care must be and feel relaxing. Not just something you have to do. Write down all the things that make you feel alive and energized. Then work on doing them in your practice to bring you peace and clarity. When you are in tune with your self care practices you can keep coming back to them whenever you like.

3- Make a self care dream list. This is a list of all the self care practices that you would love to try when you have the time. Like that Friday or Saturday night when your at home .Enjoying some but feeling “What am I going to do with myself”. My dream list includes books to read and journaling I would like to do. If you cross these of your list once you have done them, you won’t feel like you’ve wasted your alone time.

An important reminder.

I hope this has guided you in the right direction. Remember how important it is and always use it wisely taking care of you. And connect with yourself on a deeper level. It is so rewarding.
